About Tieton
Tieton is located on the east side foothills of the Cascades, surrounded by countless acres of highly productive tree fruit orchards. They were among the first to receive irrigation service a century ago, and evidence of the town’s early importance as an orchard town remains in some of the historic warehouses close to the center of town.
Tieton City Park is the heart of the town. It’s lovely, quiet, and peaceful spot to relax, eat your take-out lunch from one of the square cafes, or even to hang a hammock and take a nap.
Four blocks of retail, studios, and hospitality businesses face the park. Mexican grocery stores, the Post Office, a couple of cafes, an art gallery, and some studio spaces welcome residents and visitors.
Many of the older buildings have been refurbished and reimagined, preserving their historic forms, but made functional for fresh purposes.
