Lodging in Tieton and Environs

Here is a list of places to stay in and around Tieton.

El Nido is a great place to stay in Tieton. It is composed of several small white cabins clustered around large trees on seven acres, two blocks from the square, and one block from Tieton Lofts and the Mighty Tieton Warehouse. Each cabin has a queen bed, kitchenette, desk, and bathroom. Perfect for a weekend visit or a longer retreat to finish a project or a manuscript undistracted. (And if you time it right you might be able to participate in a rousing game of Stumpen Tossen.)

New in 2012: a Mongolian felt ger for the back field. This traditional shelter will sleep up to 10 guests.

THE GUEST HOUSE-- Centrally located in Tieton is the Guest House (1071 Franklin Rd., Tieton). The Guest House is only 5 minutes walking from the city park. The Guest House features two furnished bedrooms (one queen and two twins in the second bedroom, with options for additional sleeping), and a full bath. The small home is surrounded by fir, pine, and nut trees. The house sleeps 4 and is $150 a night. $25 per person per night for groups over 4 people. $25 dollar fee for pets.

Local Hotels

In Naches (four miles away), you can stay downtown at the Natchez Hotel, 213 Naches Ave. Rooms range from $50 - 150.  Call 509 653-1317. The back rooms are quieter when the bars get out.

Along scenic Highway 12, the Trout Lodge offers dining and a few rooms. The lodge overlooks the Tieton River, and is a great base for a trip to Tieton, combined with rock-climbing and white water rafting adventures. Call 509 672-2211

Local B&Bs

Just out of town and in the orchards is Apple Country B&B. We hear they serve a great breakfast. Prices range from $79 - 105. 509 972-3409.

Closer to Yakima and located in a hillside cherry orchard, the Orchard Inn is a very comfortable B&B. Karen and Henner Krueger could not be nicer. 509 966-1283.
