100+One and Pie-Palooza

When: Saturday, July 28, 11 A.M. - 3 P.M.

Where: Tieton Park, on the corner of Wisconsin and Elm, Tieton

Celebrating the city of Tieton's centennial (plus one year....and plus pie).

A community gathering featuring local history, entertainment, food, and a pie-baking contest. Get out grandma's pie crust recipe and practice up. Entry is only $5/pie, to benefit Tieton Arts & Humanities.The pie pro judges are Helen Marieskind and Elizabeth Gonzalez of the Yakima Valley early learning center, Ready By Five; Tieton orchardist Gail Davis of Willow Orchard; and Kathy Sali, chef and creator of La Maison de Falaise.

Pie judging at 1 P.M., awards at 2 P.M. in Tieton park.
